Ubisoft announced that Title Update 6.1 (TU 6.1) for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is now available for all players. TU 6.1 includes a themed in-game event, Situation: Snowball. Take down elusive enemies wearing Santa Hats and they will drop a new, exclusive weapon (called “The Sleigher”) that shoots snowballs.
As part of the in-game holiday event, all players logging in the game between now and January 7 will get their own Santa Hat to celebrate the holiday season.
The Silent Night Apparel Event is also included in TU 6.1, bringing with it a dark winter theme. The Silent Night apparel cache features 35 new apparel items to collect. All players who log into The Division 2 during the event receives one free cache key, with Year One Pass holders earning an additional three keys as a bonus, available until the event ends.
Starting with the Silent Night apparel event, players now have the option to purchase Apparel Event caches with Premium Credits and directly send them as gifts to friends and clan members.
In addition, a beta version of the new Hardcore Mode is part of TU 6.1. In this new mode, death is permanent, making the entire The Division 2 campaign the ultimate challenge for Agents. Since there is no chance to respawn, Division Agents must be tactical and careful to see how far they can get. Play in co-op for a better chance to reach endgame and overcome Washington D.C. threats and enemies.
Led by Massive Entertainment in collaboration with seven other studios around the world*, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is the next evolution in the open-world online shooter RPG genre that the first game helped establish. Set seven months after a deadly virus was released in New York City, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 brings players into a fractured and collapsing Washington D.C. The world is on the brink, its people living through the biggest crisis ever faced in human history. As veteran Division agents, players are the last hope against the complete fall of society as enemy factions vie for control of the city. If Washington D.C. is lost, the entire nation falls. Building upon more than two years of listening to and learnings from The Division community, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 will offer a substantial campaign that organically flows into a robust endgame, to create a cohesive and meaningful experience for all types of players, helping players emphasize their freedom to make strategic choices and hone their own approach.
Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is available on the Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X, PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, Windows PC, UPLAY+**, Ubisoft’s subscription service. Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 will also launch on the new generation gaming platform, Stadia.
