Ahead of Warlords of New York’s release, players can experience The Division 2 for free from February 27 to March 2
SAN FRANCISCO — Today, Ubisoft released its first animated short film for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 Warlords of New York ahead of the expansion’s release on March 3. In addition, a free weekend for The Division 2 will take place from February 27 to March 2 for all players*.
The animated short depicts how former Division Agent Aaron Keener, who has now turned rogue, manipulates his 4 lieutenants into taking control of Lower Manhattan, putting his plans in motion. Players will discover more about the main targets they must track down in their manhunt for Keener. Among Keener’s rogue lieutenants are chemical engineer Vivian Conley, who has aligned herself with the Cleaners faction, and former drone engineer and hacker Theo Parnell. Then there’s Javier Kajika, a former Black Op on a path for revenge, and James Dragov, master of heavy weapons who is now leading the iconic Rikers faction. All will prove to be merciless opponents to the agents of The Division venturing in Lower Manhattan.
To celebrate the upcoming launch of the Warlords of New York expansion, newcomers can dive into the Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 universe during a free weekend from February 27 to March 2, allowing new Agents to discover Washington DC and the events that led to Warlords of New York, with no level cap or play restrictions. Progression made during the free weekend will also be carried over to the full game, should players decide to purchase it.
