Try Your Luck in this Steam Demo Inspired by Alice in Borderland, The Game of Fourtune

Check out The Game of Fourtune Trailer:

Everything is on the table when 16 people find themselves in a goddess’ sick and twisted game of life and death. The Game of Fourtune is a visual novel that will lead players to second-guess their choices as they help Clyde and Devon literally fight for their lives. Despite arriving together, these two protagonists may just find themselves separated during this twisted game having to fend for themselves. After all, it’s survival of the fittest. Those who make it through all four rounds will get one wish granted. The Game of Fourtune will leave players wondering just how many people they are willing to hurt to come out victorious. A free demo is now available on Steam, which features nearly four hours of gameplay, allowing players to experience the first of the 16 original routes.

Inspired by Netflix’s Original Series, Alice in Borderland, The Game of Fourtune takes place in a complex world ran by the Digits of Eden, an underground criminal organization. The game requires players to fight, scheme, and outsmart one another to survive a god’s deadly game. The Game of Fourtune has multiple routes, scenarios, and decisions that will help to introduce the player to each of the 16 characters. Getting to know each character will reveal their reasons for participating in the game and will also help players solve the mystery behind the Digits of Eden.

Players will take control of either Clyde Raveron or Devon Rhodes, who are best friends. Clyde is a sarcastic dishwasher at a local pizzeria. He’s an intelligent young man who is recently down on his luck. He enters The Game of Fourtune in hopes to help his sickly mother. Devon, a line cook at the same pizzeria, balances out her best friend with her upbeat and positive attitude. Devon joins the game only because Clyde needed a partner.

“As a fan of death games in all sorts of forms, I wanted to create my own spin on them and contribute to the genre that I loved. Especially Alice in Borderland, I wanted to create a game setting with an interesting cast of characters that would react differently to the death games, to each other, to events that happen in their world. To break down and to rise up. “– Kenneth Norris, BlackLock Games.
