Ubisoft has announced that the Freeze For All Permafrost, Rainbow Six Siege‘s winter event, has gone live running now through January 6, featuring an icy game mode, free bundles, and new cosmetics.
Eight players compete on The Arctic Workshop, a modified, winterized version of the Hereford Base map, in this upgraded chilly game mode. With an extra twist to help you win quickly, it’s all the fast-paced, arcade excitement of a free-for-all deathmatch. To be the first player to reach 40 points or to accumulate the most points at the conclusion of the eight-minute timeframe, players must gather the frozen souls that fallen adversaries drop. Infinite respawns, a new feature from the previous year’s event, will let you to exact revenge on the Operator who brought you down and guarantee that you’ll be present for every action-packed moment.
Throughout the event, players can obtain free rewards, such as a free cosmetic Collection pack for logging in, the upgraded Frost Variant bundle that can be obtained through weekly challenges, and the enhanced Grim Variant bundle that can be obtained through Twitch Drops. In addition, the Freeze For All Permafrost collection features four improved Variants bundles for Thorn, Ash, Vigil, and Dokkaebi; a signature pack that contains a drone skin, universal weapon skin, and other items; a new exclusive Memento 3D animated weapon skin; and new bundles for Thermite, Mira, and Finka.
Rainbow Six Siege is available for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC via Ubisoft Connect, as well as with a Ubisoft+ Premium subscription.
