A $50,000 donation will go to local charities to aid the people of Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria
SAN FRANCISCO — December 6, 2017 — Today, Ubisoft announces their donation for Puerto Rico reconstruction, in collaboration with International Superstar Daddy Yankee (real name Ramon Ayala Rodriguez).
The summer hit “Despacito,” is one of the most highly anticipated tracks of Just Dance 2018. Daddy Yankee, named by Time Magazine as one of the Most Influential is currently on the top of the charts globally with his most recent hits such as “Vuelve”& “Boom Boom.”
In light of the recent devastation caused by Hurricane Maria and as part of their long-lasting Just Dance partnership with musician Daddy Yankee, Ubisoft has decided to support his contribution to Puerto Rico reconstruction, by donating $50,000 to local charities who are providing on-site aid for the much needed relief efforts.
Since the very first days following Hurricane Maria, musician Daddy Yankee has been helping residents of his native Puerto Rico by making life saving donations, giving his time on-site and raising awareness on this natural and human tragedy. Ubisoft was particularly touched by his engagement and will support him with a donation at the occasion of the Just Dance 2018 upcoming launch.
