SAN FRANCISCO — Today, Ubisoft announced its partnership with the Center for Equity, Gender, and Leadership at the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business (EGAL). Together, EGAL will research various video game industry trends while Ubisoft will gain access to applied research and collaborate with other EGAL advisory board members, and top thought and industry leaders.
“As a sponsor of EGAL we are proud to provide support to the center with research materials this semester. EGAL is doing important work in engaging and providing a space for conversation about gender equity and diversity in business, and is something of interest not just for Ubisoft but the video game industry as a whole,” said Rich Kubiszewski, VP of Operations, Ubisoft.
This partnership will start with the Fall 2018 semester as 2–4 MBA students conduct a research project and present findings to both Ubisoft and EGAL.
“EGAL’s mission is to educate equity fluent leaders to ignite and accelerate change – we are excited to work with Ubisoft on this research project, and continue the conversation as we take steps to bring this goal and impact to the video game industry,” said Kellie McElhaney, EGAL’s founding director.
