VanillaBeast: Retro Knock-Out! Heading Soon to PC

VanillaBeast, the world’s slickest super spy, needs some time off to prepare for his spontaneous upcoming adventure, Ace In The Hole. So when a prequel opportunity and a chance to star in Retro Knock-Out! via Steam, a parody of his favorite classic Punch Out!, comes up he just couldn’t say no.

If you can’t say no either, head over to the VanillaBeast Discord serve and play the Retro Knock-Out! demo for yourself! Stick around and chat with the gang or, if you’re just in it for the fun, you can skip the social experience and type the command !BetaKey to have a demo key whizzed over to your Discord DMs. It’s that simple.

Just as his luck would have it, it turns out a hot secret lies underneath the glitz and glamor of the ring, and it’s up to VanillaBeast to pull back the covers and expose it.

Retro Knock-Out! From Vanilla Gaming Company pays homage to the classic NES game with over 30 parody fighters in the world-famous Venerousville Boxing Association, including Macho Boxer Dandy Ravage, Smasher Wang, and the ultimate challenger, Tike Myson. Hit the circuit in this pick-up-and-play arcade boxing game and throw hands in Madison’s Bare Garden and Big Bounce Beach as Vanilla thrusts himself into the association to uncover its hidden secrets.

Each match packs a full experience, with boxer intros, ringwalks, and a 10-point system just like the pros use. Outside the ring, VanillaBeast’s story unfolds in beautifully illustrated scenes created by noted artist Oleg Okunev (games Perky Little Things, Metropolis: Lux Obscura, and “Pestilence,” among other projects), but don’t let the old-school look fool you.

VanillaBeast: Retro Knock-Out! has been rated M for Mature by the ESRB. The is coming soon to a PC near you. Wishlist it now on Steam!
