VULPINE Charming Open World Game Needs Your Support on Kickstarter

Indie developer team Giant Clockwork Games, which consists of two brothers, is looking for your support on Kickstarter for their charming open-world game, Vulpine.

In Vulpine you survive as ridiculously well-armed animals, such as a fox with a sword! You’ll explore a vivid, low-poly world as you try to scavenge for food, and face off against other animals. Team up with your friends to hunt legendary monsters in battles that will put your skills to the test!

Players choose animals from one of three categories: small, medium, large. The smaller animals are more agile, but weak while the larger ones are slow but strong. The speed and damage of an animal’s weapon (a spear, sword, or hammer) is affected by their size as well. Animals can also explore the huge landmass, which has a variety of biomes and environments, and mark their territory claim a plot of land for their pack to build a place to sleep and store items. To regroup, they can warp to their customizable safe house, a den, where equipment and other resources are stored.

“We loved the concept of creating an RPG with normal animals that have extraordinary skills. Taking inspiration from one of our all time favorite games, Tokyo Jungle, we developed Vulpine 101 at our very first game jam. Since then, we’ve developed several games but we just couldn’t shake the idea of a game where you play as an animal. That’s why we decided, about six months ago, to revisit the idea and dedicated ourselves to developing this new version of Vulpine full-time. We’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback so far, for example it was greenlit on steam in less than two weeks.” explains co-founder of Clockwork Giant Games, Isaac Goodin.
