Developer HeroCraft out of Kaliningrad, Russia has announced that Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf is heading to Steam Early Access in February, 2017.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf is a turn-based tactical game which features RPG elements, containing single player campaign, survival and PvP modes. The game is driven using collectible cards representing the arsenal of weapons and abilities of the Space Marines of the Space Wolves Chapter originated from the Feral World of Fenris.
The game was released on iOS for the first time in 2014, then half a year later on Android, with more than 3 million downloads in total. Now we’re really excited to bring the game to PC players as a premium experience, and announce its release on Early Access on Steam.
The developer intends to make a great PC game which will offer both Steam customers and Warhammer 40k fans a relevant experience they are looking for with enhanced graphics and other PC features. From the very beginning of Early Access we will release the version with original mobile gameplay and in-game balance to see the reaction and gather feedback. This will allow them to plan the development route based on an actual understanding of what players would like to see in the game.
Dmitry Maksyura, the Head of Development Team stated:
“Every member of our team is a Warhammer geek and we have been working on the mobile version of the game for two years already. But all this time we have been dreaming about developing and releasing the PC game on Steam and finally this is happening!”
The Steam version of Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf will be remastered especially for PC players and will include:
- enhanced graphics with improved textures and materials
- dynamic lighting
- improved weapon effects and brand new weather effects
- overhauled gameplay
