If you are seeking a hack and slash game for the Nintendo Switch, driven by an unforgettable storyline, I highly suggest purchasing Warriors Orachi 4. In this traditional Musuo game, KOEI TECMO GAMES CO. romanticizes the art of combat with a rich story and over-powering Officers who lead players to victory against seemingly-invincible enemies. So, the question stands will you come out victorious or be defeated by these unconquerable foes?
With a story so vivid and well-designed, the ability to play this game without admiring the work of KOEI TECMO GAMES CO. is impossible. Players are immediately introduced to the backstory of Warriors Orachi 4 which explains the thievery of magic bracelets from the Gods into the hands of mortals. For the remainder of the game, players strive to regain these bracelets and uncover who is to blame for their robbery. From cut-scenes to gameplay, players will be astonished by the graphic fluidity KOEI TECMO GAMES CO. manages to maintain, both of which are immaculate. For a game so strictly reliant upon its story, the expectations for complex and detailed graphics are vital. The vibrant environment and special effects are especially apparent during combat as Officers fight and perform special abilities.
The controls for Warriors Orachi 4 were adequate. Luckily, explanations for every control are provided for the player as they progress through the game. Even though every Officer is different, the functions are consistent. For a Nintendo Switch game, they met my expectations, however, they did nothing more to satisfy my needs such as sensitivity adjustments which would have been highly beneficial for some Officers in particular. Additionally, the option to keep a fixed view on a target is an excellent concept, however, KOEI TECMO GAMES CO. could have done more to make this feature more effective. At some points I felt my camera adjustments were severely affecting my combat results in a negative way.
On a positive note, the fluidity of two-player exceeded all my expectations. With the awkward controls, I had expected two-player to let me down but that was far from it! Players ally together to slay enemies and proceed through the story mode together. Although it is possible to separate across the map, staying together is highly suggested especially when encountering fellow Officers or enemies with special abilities. It should be noted, if either player dies both will restart to the last check point. This emphasizes the importance of alliance therefore I highly suggest teaming up and remaining together as you progress through the levels.
The vast customization offered in Warriors Orachi 4 is unbelievable. Players can upgrade various things such as their camp, their Officers, weapons and more. Upgrades are extremely beneficial to the effectiveness of combat because it ensures a higher likelihood to defeat enemy Officers. Players should be aware of leveling up as well as the suggested levels hinted to them prior to battle.
The variety of Officers players may choose from becomes extensive as they progress through Warriors Orachi 4 and turn enemies to allies. Aside from their intricate designs and special abilities, players are offered detailed backstories for each Officer which makes it clear KOEI TECMO GAMES CO. put strenuous effort into designing and implementing these characters.
One cannot play Warriors Orachi 4 without appreciating the time and effort KOEI TECMO GAMES CO. has put into developing the rich-graphics, enticing story, and exhilarating combat. This traditional hack and slash game offers much more than expected so if you’re looking for a game to play for hours on end, Warriors Orachi 4 is perfect for you.
Score: 8.8

Nintendo Switch Review
My name is Haylee, but everyone calls me "Haylz". Gaming has been a passion of mine since my grandma bought me The Sims for PC and my love for gaming flourished from there. Currently, I'm a Senior studying English at Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi and spend most of my time gaming and leading my school through collegiate competitions as President of the eSports club! Despite being a dedicated vegetarian, my favorite games tend to be First Person Shooters and I'm naturally drawn to blood and gore! Chances are, if you can kill in it, I'll play it... I just won't eat it (unless it's a Fallout perk)!
