My cruiser waded out into enemy controlled waters cruising at a cool 35 knots until another warship came into sight. I zoomed in and fired a couple shots to get my bearings, but I didn’t connect on any of them. The other ship returned the favor with a little better aim as one of his shells connected with the side of my ship. I wheeled my little ship to the left trying to throw him off but he was locked in now. Shots from his cannons continued to hit the deck of my tiny cruiser until a fire broke out at the front of the ship. I tried to escape, but the other ship began to turn and follow me while continuing to berate my poor little ship with cannon fire until my health was just about gone. I tried a few more steering maneuvers, but there was just no getting away this time. I switched over to my torpedoes and fired them in his direction hoping one of them would connect as he continued to fire at me. The little torpedoes zoomed underwater until… BOOM! They connected with the lower deck of his ship and it sank into the sea and I was free to capture the objective. World of Warships: Legends wraps all the thrills and little details of sea warfare into an extremely fun game that kept me captivated battle after battle.
World of Warships: Legends really strives for authenticity and it shows in every aspect of the game. The environment and the ships themselves are incredibly detailed. The water and islands look like moving photos of their real life counterparts as the waves crest and crash into the sides of the ship. Wargaming packed every possible detail into the ships from antennas and guns to the rivets that hold the steel of the hull together. The realism they were able to achieve in the game is truly astonishing and really adds to a very immersive game. In addition to the aesthetics, Wargaming also achieved an incredible level of authenticity in the gameplay itself. Warships from the World Wars were difficult to maneuver and the guns didn’t reload instantaneously and the ships in the game mirror this which really adds a layer of realism and strategy to an already great game. Every single part of how this game looks and feels really shows how much work Wargaming put into its development.
My only complaint about World of Warships: Legends is the load times for finding and starting games seems a little long for a free game that’s based on online play. However, this is a pretty nitpicky complaint and it didn’t seem that long as I played more. This could also be the product of the amount of detail Wargaming incorporated into every aspect of the game and that’s a trade-off that’s definitely worth it. Aside from this one little thing, it was really difficult to find anything about this game that I didn’t absolutely love.
Aside from all the technical aspects of the game, the best thing that Wargaming achieved with the World of Warships: Legends is that it’s an incredibly fun game to play and it was easy to play. I don’t mean easy to play in the sense that the game is simple or that the objectives of the game are easy to achieve because the game definitely has a learning curve and it’s difficult to sink a ship. I mean easy to play in the sense that I had an easy time picking my controller up to start playing and had a hard time putting it down to stop. This characteristic is a rare thing for a videogame to have and World of Warships: Legends really nails it.
Overall, this game is a must have for anybody looking for a fun, new game on the Xbox One to play casually or to really put some hours into. World of Warships: Legends does a fantastic job blending just the right amount of challenging with a lot of fun making a great game that needs to be in your game library.

Xbox One Review
My first console was the original Playstation and I would play Twisted Metal every now and then but games didn't hook me until I played the original Halo at my friend's house. As soon as I picked up that controller, I knew I needed an Xbox and I had to have that game. Since those early Halo days, I've branched out and played any game I could find with a great story and memorable characters but Master Chief is still my favorite. @thenotoriousTGT on Twitter
