World War 3 Kicks off Veteran Alpha Test with in-depth Look at Realistic Locations

After announcing their Veteran Alpha Test last week with an explosive new teaser, players can now deploy on the battlefield with the Veteran Alpha Test kicking off at 5AM PT / 12 PM GMT (on Thursday, September 30th).

The playtest also launched with a new video spotlight taking a look at the highly realistic maps that are featured in the game. Featuring true to life representations of Berlin, Moscow, Polarny, Smolensk and Warsaw, the first stages of WW3 will take place in central and eastern Europe.  While realistic, the locations also show the results of recent (fictional) events. Warsaw was struck by a crashed plane, Berlin shows the aftermath of a huge explosion and the iconic Moscovite Red Square lies in a state of ruin. These features and more show a world at war but the additions also allow the level designers to optimize the maps for multiplayer combat.

World War 3 will be playable by everyone who bought the game during the Early Access period of the game from September 30th, 5AM PT / 12 PM GMT to October 4th, 5AM PT / 12 PM GMT. More information about the release of the game is expected in the near future.

World War 3 is available for PC via Steam Early Access.
