A detailed look at the difficulty settings for Ninja Gaiden 4 (created by Team Ninja and PlatinumGames) was featured as well as a reveal that a Japan World Update is arriving in Microsoft Flight Simulator and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 today. Also unveiled was new gameplay for Age of Mythology‘s Japan-inspired Heavenly Spear expansion, which launches next week. Xbox Game Studios is releasing Forza Horizon 6 in 2026 with Japan as the setting. After its latest updates, Bethesda showcased some of the best Japanese-made C.A.M.P.s made for Fallout 76, while Activision unveiled Japan-set maps for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
Even more was contributed by Xbox partners in Asia and the rest of the world. In addition to the announcement that the first two games in the series will be coming to Xbox, Capcom revealed more of Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, Square Enix’s surprise release of the RPG Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven, and a world premiere for Gungrave Gore: Blood Heat. With the introduction of a major character in 007 First Light and a mission in Hitman: World of Assassination with a Bruce Lee theme, IO Interactive added star power. With 25 distinct games included in the episode, that’s only the beginning.
Game Pass customers will have access to a number of the games that were featured in the program, such as Terminull Brigade, Winter Burrow, and show-closer Forza Horizon 6. With numerous new releases that comprise Metacritic’s highest-rated games of 2025 thus far, including three of the current top five: Hollow Knight: Silksong, Blue Prince, and Claire Obscur: Expedition 33, Game Pass continues to provide unrivaled quality. Furthermore, the momentum isn’t decreasing. Keeper, Ninja Gaiden 4, The Outer Worlds 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, and numerous other games are still slated to be released to Game Pass subscribers this year.
Additionally, most of the games in the series enable Xbox Play Anywhere, enabling users to play the games they desire on any device, wherever they are. This includes being playable on the Tokyo Game Show show floor and on-the-go, as the ROG Xbox Ally handhelds will be arriving on October 16.
