Gamers Who Already Own Award-Winning Premium JRPG Will Automatically Get All Future Episodes
PARIS – Following up on the launch of the premium JRPG Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey last month, Kobojo today confirmed details for future episodes and an update to pricing.
- Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey is priced at $4.99 / €4.99 in the App Store, which allows the same access to the first chapter as has been available since the game launch last month
- New episodes planned for future release that add new worlds to explore, new characters to meet and new challenges to conquer are also expected to be $4.99 / €4.99
- Gamers who already purchased Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey on Dec. 3 or earlier will automatically receive access to all future episodes as part of their original purchase.
- A Season Pass option, for gamers who want to purchase all future chapters at once, is expected to be available in early 2016 via in-app purchase
Gamers looking to see the latest update can see Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey on display for PlayStation platforms this weekend at the Moscone Center in San Francisco as part of the PlayStation Experience.
With significant contributions from Kazushige Nojima (writer, Final Fantasy VII) as scenario writer, Hitoshi Sakimoto (composer, Final Fantasy Tactics) as composer and CyDesignation, Inc., the Japanese game design and production company led by renowned artist Hideo Minaba, on art direction, Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey marks the first time these well-known and highly respected Japanese game development icons have collaborated with a western studio.
Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey, already winner of the 2015 Ping Award as best mobile game, and nominated as one of the top titles at Tokyo Game Show 2015 by Famitsu and 4Gamer, was recently approved on Steam Greenlight. The PlayStation 4, Vita and Steam versions are expected in 2016.
