SYSTEM SHOCK Released Globally on PlayStation and Xbox by Nightdive Studios

Based on the legendary 1994 sci-fi action game, the critically acclaimed System Shock reboot is now playable on platforms all around the world. The remarkably accurate reimagining of the vintage shooter/immersive sim by Nightdive Studios was published in 2023 to much praise on the PC.

On the PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, and Series X|S, console players can now square off against SHODAN, the original malicious AI, as they explore the shadowy reaches of Citadel Station and attempt to save Earth on their own.

SYSTEM SHOCK Released Globally on PlayStation and Xbox by Nightdive Studios

The System Shock remake features brand-new HD graphics, revised controls, a redesigned UI, and brand-new audio and soundtrack in addition to the gameplay of the original game.

Numerous members of the original System Shock team, such as Terri Brosius, who provided the original voice of SHODAN, one of the most recognizable villains in gaming, were closely involved with Nightdive Studios.

Key Features of System Shock:

  • Discover the unsettling tale of SHODAN’s ascent and investigate the enigmas of Citadel Station, assembling the facts in this evocative science fiction universe
  • Deal with dangerous traps, riddles, and a horde of aggressive, mutant monsters that are created and managed by the evil SHODAN herself
  • For the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, up to 4K 60FPS graphics
  • The console version includes an updated conclusion that improves the last showdown with SHODAN
  • Choose a hacker protagonist who presents as either male or female
  • Redesigned controls to accommodate gamepads from PlayStation and Xbox

For PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One and Series X|S, System Shock is available for digital purchasing. Local merchants now sell the game in physical format for current-generation consoles.

For Windows PCs, System Shock can also be purchased through the Epic Games Store, GOG, Humble Store, and Steam (where it can be played with a Steam Deck).
