The first original IP from Bulgarian independent developer Studio Mechka, Marko: Beyond Brave, an exciting Metroidvania with influences from Slavic folklore and Disney cartoons from the ’90s, is now playable on Windows PC via Steam.
Entropy has broken free from its confines in Marko: Beyond Brave and is on a mission to take over the planet. Put yourself in the shoes of the main character Marko, a warrior with Hercules-like qualities who discovers a hidden power. Equipped with a massive greatsword and an even more pronounced mustache, Marko has to face off against legendary beasts, overcome archaic foes, and form strong coalitions in order to bring Zagora back into equilibrium. Equipped with elemental abilities, where every choice you make determines the course of the world, you will set out on an exciting journey where your bravery will be your most valuable asset.

Exquisitely rendered in a classic 2D frame-by-frame manner, the world of Zagora is filled with vibrant, colorful sceneries that are all based on Slavic folklore. Explore verdant forests and dilapidated castles, engage in combat with corrupted beings, and avoid devious traps. Follow your path through formidable monsters and powerful spirits such as Samovili, Koz’el, Urgl, Vlashko, Vodyanoy, and the miserable Kikimora—loosely translating to ‘Nightmare Scarecrow.'”
Explore the hundreds of chambers on this enormous non-linear map; each one is as peculiar and distinctive as the last. Discover lost riches, fabled relics, and collapsing monuments that tell a historic tale.
