When it came to Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, Shigeru Miyamoto challenged his development team to never go with their first boss design ideas, but rather to experiment further and then ‘cherry-pick’ the best.
Next Level Games Director, Bryce Holliday, said Miyamoto “threw out all the bosses of the game” and made the team start over.
