BOUNDLESS Review for PlayStation 4

BOUNDLESS Review for PlayStation 4

Boundless is a massively multiplayer online game and is pretty much like a sandbox. It is developed by Turbulenz and Wonderstruck, and distributed by Square Enix Collective, and it was just launched on September 11. It has been early access since November 2014.

I had never played Minecraft before, but whoever must have played can tell the similarities between Boundless and Minecraft, but they are still different. Boundless pretty much starts with the basics, doing character creation and waking up in a sanctum. There we are going through the basics of initial warping to a location on the map using a portal. The game has done a great job in making it a multiplayer as you are not limited to always playing it with other players but can also be played solo as well. Boundless allows you to do multiple things, player can choose whatever they want to either explore, hunt, trade, build stuff.

BOUNDLESS Review for PlayStation 4

Initial first hour of my game was pretty much just digging through the ground, and as I was curious how far it could go, and at one point I was just lost in the underground. Also the initial tutorial was kind of confusing at start, but once you figure the stuff out it pretty much makes the game more interesting. Another good thing about Boundless is that players can build their camps and secure them along with any items in it. What it does is that no other player can access those items, as the game provides with a plot system, you can secure your own plot and do however you want to deal with the plot area.

Boundless has a great number of places that can be explored. And provides a different variety of encounters with the wild life and different vegetation and location discovery throughout the game. When initially building camp, it takes you through a crafting table that allows you to build weapons and tools to break woods and stones and gives you a great variety of blocks. The game also has a great amount of detail when comes to players skill set and hunger mechanics. I, myself, have died multiple times because of the hunger issue. Players can keep on leveling up by doing multiple generated missions in the player’s journal, and getting the experience points.

BOUNDLESS Review for PlayStation 4

I had a great time exploring the world and using the portal to travel between different locations using the Sanctum. I think Boundless is a great game, that lets you do multiple things, It is a great game for all kinds of gamers from casual to hardcore as it provides you with different game play styles. I would give Boundless 8 stars out of 10.
