Fourth year of SoCal’s anime-focused fighting game tournament is back with a new venue and $6,000 in pot bonuses
Torrance, Calif. – Aksys Games is pleased to announce that Anime Ascension will return to Irvine for its fourth year. The West Coast’s largest anime-focused fighting game tournament will run from February 15 through February 17 at the Atrium Hotel, and featured games include Guilty Gear Xrd REV2, BlazBlue Central Fiction, and Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st]. Side games include Melty Blood Actress Again, Guilty Gear XX Accent Plus R, and Sailor Moon S!
For 2019, Aksys Games is once again adding $6,000 in additional prize money to the prize pool, $2,000 each for Guilty Gear Xrd REV2, BlazBlue Central Fiction, and Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st] so start putting in that lab time!
Registration is open now and runs through February 1st. The venue fee is currently $45, and will increase to $55 on December 15th. Registration fee is $10 for each of the main games in addition to the venue fee. And since Anime Ascension is being held at the Atrium Hotel this year, of course there will be discounted rooms available for tournament participants. Rooms start at $99 per night (double occupancy) for bookings reserved by December 15th. Call the hotel at 1-800-854-3012 and mention Anime Ascension. Rate is good Thursday night through Sunday night!
