Kitty Love -Way to Look for Love Review for Nintendo Switch

Precious kittens and true love… Kitty Love -Way to Look for Love combines both to create the perfect storybook simulation. Created by DIGIMERCE and OperaHouse Corporation, this new Nintendo Switch visual novel game shows the effects of a curse cast on the protagonist which turns them into a cat each night as the sun sets. Human by day and cat by night, players follow the storyline to form a bond with a selected male character in hopes they can find true love and break the curse before it is too late. The stakes are high so get ready!

After the initial prologue, players will set out on a course, following one of the main male roles. As they transform into a cat at night, their objective will be to accept their true feelings and find a way to break this curse. Although players may find their character is apprehensive to admit her love, each decision they make will lead them in a unique direction, so players should consider their choices wisely though I assure there will be no disappointment by the end results! I found my character was sheepish and could not face the facts of her affection which led her into some very difficult situations, although confidence eventually made her a hero! So, each path will surely show a different side to both a player’s character in both human and cat form.

The concept is slightly obscure but that is what makes this tantalizing story so miraculous. The prologue may be optional, but I highly suggest playing it. Without doing so, players will miss out on a significant amount of the storyline although will not misunderstand the game without it. Because it gives so much background information, however, I do believe it is a vital component to the game and they should at least watch it the first time they play the game!

By the time players are done with the game they will be so ensconced with the story, they won’t want it to end. Luckily, there are plenty of other options, choices, and paths for them to follow. Whether it is the same guy or different, players can change the story or replay the same one enjoying different stories and scenarios as they go. As for myself I played through Mr. Saijo and Kohei who had extremely enjoyable and different stories. So, once players are done with one part of their visual novel, they should take the opportunity to start anew and see what other outcomes DIGIMERCE and OperaHouse Corporation offer.

The passionate writing and vivid graphics couldn’t help but make me feel waves of deep emotion. As the men interacted with their beloved cat, I felt the true passion DIGIMERCE and OperaHouse Corporation put into Kitty Love- Looking for Love. The soft graphics and intimate gestures show how genuinely passionate this visual novel is and truly draws players into the world of their character. When you’re done, check out the album and recall the romantic memories you made with your beau. Even if you don’t want to replay their story in entirety, DIGIMERCE and OperaHouse Corporation still allow you to look back and experience the best parts endlessly.

Score: 8.7

Kitty Love -Way to Look for Love is rated E for Everyone. You can find it on the Nintendo eShop.

My name is Haylee, but everyone calls me "Haylz". Gaming has been a passion of mine since my grandma bought me The Sims for PC and my love for gaming flourished from there. Currently, I'm a Senior studying English at Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi and spend most of my time gaming and leading my school through collegiate competitions as President of the eSports club! Despite being a dedicated vegetarian, my favorite games tend to be First Person Shooters and I'm naturally drawn to blood and gore! Chances are, if you can kill in it, I'll play it... I just won't eat it (unless it's a Fallout perk)!
