3DS Sales Reach $15 Million in Japan

Famitsu has reported that the Nintendo 3DS sales have reached $15 million in Japan. (This includes both Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL.)

Although $15 million is a great figure, the overall Nintendo 3DS sales were down year-over-year in 2013. Nintendo will have to account to this in the months to come.

This Thursday, Nintendo will reveal plans to put mini games and apps—which will effectively serve as demos—based on their titles on smartphones, to encourage more people to buy their hardware and games.
