PADERBORN, GERMANY — Rescue HQ – The Tycoon, the emergency services management game published by the sim specialists at Aerosoft, rescues San Francisco and Berlin on Windows via Steam and GOG today. For the first week, Rescue HQ – The Tycoon will be available with a launch discount of 10%. Developer stillalive studios is celebrating the launch with a livestream at 6am PT / 3pm CEST on Twitch and YouTube.
Everything from street food festivals overrun with drunks to rioting football fans require vigilance from local police, medical, and fire departments. Arrest small-time crooks and gangsters, put out blazing forest fires during a heatwave, and provide medical assistance after a terrorist attack, all from one bustling Rescue HQ.
As catastrophes grow more frequent, balance sending the right equipment with preparing for the next calamity. Police cannot arrest criminals without a van to hold them, but the SWAT gear the van contains may be needed for the next call. Emergency vehicles have limited seating, but if the fire fighters take the ladder truck, it may not be available when the next skyscraper goes up in flames.
Maintain vehicles, hazmat gear, medical kits, and more to maintain readiness. Fill Rescue HQ with medical triage and treatment and training stations, and offices where police can solve crimes. Manage resources to fund and maintain all three services, then load available equipment and rescuers into vehicles to dispatch them on multi-department operations.
Complete missions to earn points and unlock equipment for teams, property to purchase, and the ability to hire more team members. Keep responders happy with rec rooms, beds, ample food supply and more or they will walk out, leaving the city defenseless in its hour of need.
Want to make the city a picturesque place to live or add even more city-wide panic? Rescue HQ – The Tycoon’s extensive modding support allows fans to modify in-game assets, completely change scenarios and missions and create all new disasters to take on and share with friends and the community.
“As sim fans ourselves, we wanted to give players the ability to make Rescue HQ their own game,” said Winfried Diekmann, co-founder of Aerosoft. “We look forward to seeing all the outrageous and amazing creations our community puts into San Francisco and Berlin.”
