Timing and strategy are everything in the new PC game, Lovely Planet 2: April Strikes Back. This new indie game by developer Quick Tequila Games and publisher tinyBuild is the perfect way to help you unwind at the end of a long day. But I will warn, while at first it may seem simple, as each level increases in difficulty players will certainly see that this adventurous first person shooter isn’t easy. So, get ready to enjoy this relaxing adventure but don’t be surprised if you find yourself getting a bit frustrated!
The objective of Lovely Planet 2: April Strikes Back is quite simple but that doesn’t mean players are going to make it through each level in one try. Finish each level within the allotted time while avoiding lethal obstacles and defeating evil foes. It sounds like a breeze but falling platforms and hidden surprises will send you back to the starting point. So, keep your eyes peeled!
Each level contains a variety of unique and challenging obstacles; from falling off the map to getting hit by globs of slime, it’s important players stay weary of their surroundings! I must note: in order to progress to the next level, players must eliminate every foe on the map. So, be sure you are looking behind every nook and cranny. There were some levels I didn’t even see the enemy blocks! The easiest way to make sure players don’t miss any foes is to preview the map before trying it. This is a helpful way to prepare and make sure they do not miss anything.
Controls are simplistic and self-explanatory. However, for players who might not be familiar with PC games, Quick Tequila Games displays them directly on-screen in the first few levels. This gives players time to adjust and become familiar before they really dive in to the game!
Graphics are light and whimsical, making players feel as if they have been placed right in the middle of a coloring book. As a PC gamer who typically favors first person shooters, I have to admit Lovely Planet 2: April Strikes Back is unlike any others because of the friendly nature. The colors, graphic design, and concept make the entire game seem inviting and playful. In other games, this playful nature typically results in failure so the fact that Lovely Planet 2: April Strikes Back is able to accomplish a successful first person shooter in such an environment like this is a major bonus!
Lovely Planet 2: April Strikes Back is an enchanting challenge that will leave the player more and more impressed with each level. This indie PC game is designed flawlessly and Quick Tequila Games has not only crafted something aesthetically pleasing but they have executed a first person shooter that is friendly and challenging. While the player might find themselves stumped at times and frustrated by the unforeseen difficulty, I can assure Lovely Planet 2: April Strikes Back is worth the buy.

Steam Review
My name is Haylee, but everyone calls me "Haylz". Gaming has been a passion of mine since my grandma bought me The Sims for PC and my love for gaming flourished from there. Currently, I'm a Senior studying English at Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi and spend most of my time gaming and leading my school through collegiate competitions as President of the eSports club! Despite being a dedicated vegetarian, my favorite games tend to be First Person Shooters and I'm naturally drawn to blood and gore! Chances are, if you can kill in it, I'll play it... I just won't eat it (unless it's a Fallout perk)!
