Triumphant return of the classic series will join lineup at the anime-focused fighting game tournament happening February 14th–16th
Torrance, Calif.—Aksys Games announced that Samurai Shodown will join the roster of featured titles at the fifth Anime Ascension tournament scheduled for February 14th through the 16th, 2020 at the Atrium Hotel in Irvine. The other games include Guilty Gear Xrd REV2, BlazBlue Central Fiction, Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st], BlazBlue CrossTag Battle, Melty Blood Actress Again, and Guilty Gear XX Accent Plus R.
An all-new demo of Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r] featuring all characters will also be at the event, along with a demo of the upcoming Granblue Fantasy: Versus.
As in previous years, Aksys Games is adding $6,000 in prize money to the pool, offering $2,000 each in pot bonuses for Guilty Gear Xrd REV2, BlazBlue Central Fiction, and Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st].
Registration is open now through February 1st. The venue fee is $60 and the registration fee is an additional $10 for main tournament games. For those who just want to come and watch the action, a $10 per day spectator pass will be available on-site. Discounted rooms are available at the Atrium Hotel for tournament participants starting at $119 per night (double occupancy), including parking.
