The Last of Us movie was detailed last week, and at the BAFTA awards, Creative Director and script writer, Neil Druckmann, confirmed that the movie will recount the PS3 game plot.
Druckmann said to IGN at the BAFTA Awards,
“It’s an adaptation of the story of The Last of Us. As far as where we go and how we make it fit into a film, how it takes into account the unique properties of film… We’re not sure yet. We’re only just scratching the surface.”
In addition, Druckmann stated that Naughty Dog is currently working on another multiplayer DLC that will complete the game’s season pass slate.
When asked about the recently-confirmed The Last of Us 2 brainstorming sessions at the studio, Druckmann replied,
“We don’t know yet. We’re still trying to figure it out. We’re brainstorming some stuff, so we’ll see where that goes.”
