RADICAL RABBIT STEW Review for PlayStation 4

For years, these white, fluffy mammals have disguised themselves as adorable, innocent creatures. Don’t be fooled, as behind those beady, black eyes there’s an agent of chaos and pure devastation. Their conniving nature readily reveals itself in the retro-styled puzzle game, Radical Rabbit Stew. Developed by Pugstorm and published by Sold Out Digital, this delicious-sounding arcade adventure will have you smacking, hitting, and pin-balling these dastardly animals to their doom.

Do not worry as you won’t be attacking actual rabbits for these are scheming space rabbits that have kidnapped your friends. With your trusty wooden spoon and an unending loyalty to the kitchen crew, you are their only hope of escape. Despite only being a small, blue cleaning boy, the unlikely hero makes up for his tiny size with the size of his heart. Sometimes, even with multiple hearts! Collect extra blue hearts, coins, and the occasional upgraded weapons to aid you on your perilous quest. So, don’t be afraid to jump into the fray; smack some naughty buns into boiling pots of stew and send them blasting off into the sky, Team Rocket style.

RADICAL RABBIT STEW Review for PlayStation 4

There are different types of rabbits and enemies scattered throughout the worlds, so do not let your guard down despite how cute they may all look. As your skills and your weapons continue to evolve so do your enemies and the challenges ahead. Each level will slightly increase in difficulties as the puzzles and obstacles grow in complexity. Once you solve the set pattern within the challenges and time your movements and smacks just right, navigating through the maze with these dastardly mammals will be a breeze.

Sure, there are times where it’s easy to become frustrated, like when you accidentally overstepped the ledge slightly or you didn’t move away in time. These small mistakes are only there to make you more of a spoon-swinging, rabbit-hitting, hero.  You will especially need to sharpen your skills for the classic boss battles found at the last level of a world. These oversized enemies don’t always play fair and have a nasty habit of calling on backup. Do not let their big egos and their fancy attacks distract you from their weaknesses; the bigger they are, the more exposed they are!

Video games have always been a huge influence in my life and have definitely shaped me to who I am today . Some of my best memories growing up were the many adventures and stories I was able to experience and become immersed in. If my hands aren't either covered in clay, typing, editing, creating, or helping shoving food in my mouth, they would either be gripped to a controller, tapping away at the screen of my phone, or clicking away on my PC. I am always up for trying something new because why live just one life when you can live many.
