Go back in time and experience a comedic, alternate-history adventure in search of the ultimate supernatural solution to the release of an ancient, supernatural curse upon the world by an occult German World War 2 division in Nine Witches: Family Disruption by developer Indiesruption and publisher Blowfish Studios Pty. Ltd. This single player, dual character action-adventure with puzzle-solving elements allows the player to join Professor Alexei Krakovitz and his assistant Akiro Kagasawa in their crusade against the Nazis. I just played the demo, but the full edition of the game will be available Q3 2020 to play on these platforms: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
With the option to control both playable heroes, each with different skills and trades available to them, you are virtually unstoppable against the forces of the supernatural. Some objects throughout the game are able to be combined or used in conjunction with each other to form a new item or create an action that wasn’t possible beforehand. Each phase of the game takes the player to different locations, with flashbacks to the supernatural rituals of the nine witches periodically.
This is a completely original story that takes on an alternate reality of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party’s absolute control over most of Europe with The German War Machine. Friedrich von Darka was in charge of commanding a special division called Okkulte-SS, which took on the responsibility of researching the occult for The Third Reich. The Okkulte-SS was ready to strike its most terrible blow in 1944 when the German Army was about to withdraw. This game displays a framework of retro-pixel style artwork and allows the player to visit a Nazi oppressed village on the northwest coast of Norway: Sundӓe.
Although this is a seemingly controversial game, as it is played in Nazi Germany during the reign of the Third Reich, it’s important to note that the player is actively fighting against the Nazi reign at the same time that they’re helping to stop the ancient supernatural curse that has been released on the world. I was thoroughly impressed by the layout and gameplay of this particular game, mostly because when I hear about such a complicated storyline such as this one, it makes me wonder how well it will actually be executed in the game overall. But I can say that the developers did a great job in their follow through.
Like I said, I only played the demo version of the game, but after playing it, I would certainly download and play the full version of this game as well. It’s an interesting storyline that allows the player to relive an alternate history and talk to the dead, what more could you ask for? History buffs might have mixed feelings about this game, but being one myself, I found it more intriguing than anything. If you haven’t already, check out this game, it’s worth it! I had fun playing and I know that other people will find enjoyment and entertainment in it as well.

I have always looked to gaming as an outlet outside of my everyday life and a way to experiment with playing different types of games and take on new and exciting characters with different backgrounds. It's kind of like getting to become a new person every time you play a game.
