Neon Doctrine, a leading Southeast Asian game publisher of popular indie titles such as Yuppie Psycho, The Legend of Tianding, Lamentum, and the acclaimed SIMULACRA series — and developer Tanuki Game Studio are proud to announce that stealth platformer and graphic adventure game, The Library of Babel, will officially release on April 7, 2023 for Windows PC & Mac, Xbox One and Series X|S, PlayStation 4|5, and Nintendo Switch.
Would-be seekers can begin their murder investigation in the world of Babylon in The Library of Babel open beta demo, available now ahead of the full game’s worldwide release.
Inspired by Jorge Luis Borges’ short story of the same name, The Library of Babel welcomes you to a world 20,000 years after the extinction of humanity. The world is now run by advanced robots who know very little about their mythical creators. All is well and orderly in a society run by robots, until the discovery of a library that contains everything that has, is, and will ever be written — the perfect harbinger of chaos.
The Library of Babel Key Features:
- Immersive 2D Babylon: An overgrown yet futuristic world with beautifully hand-drawn 2D environments
- Classic Systems: Dialogue and Inventory management systems reminiscent of the Graphic Adventure games of the ’90s
- Dangerous Environment: Deadly obstacles and even deadlier enemies to avoid, as Ludovik prefers agility and stealth over violence
- Stealth Is King: Ludovik must maneuver around the terrain as quietly as possible, whether that means climbing to new heights, or silently taking down enemies
