Introduction/Information about Aaero 2
The game Aaero 2 is slated to release today, December 13th, for PC via Steam. This game is a rhythm based shooter game where players will trace ribbons of light and fight off aliens as they play through different songs through different alien worlds. I greatly enjoy rhythm games. Playing these kinds of games is a guilty pleasure of mine. When I was playing Aaero 2, I was blown away with how the game works, as well as how great the game looks visually. The rhythm based levels, as well as the mechanics in general, felt really unique. After playing Aaero 2, I would say this game is an amazing rhythm game with amazing and unique game mechanics.
Gameplay
The gameplay for Aaero 2 has players tracing beams of light and fighting off enemies to the beat and rhythm of the songs in every level. When players open the game, they will immediately be thrown into the tutorial. There’s a good amount to understand and remember, so players should take their time with it. With a controller (which IS needed), players will control a ship within the range of a circle. Along the circle, beams of light will appear with the beat and rhythm of the song. With the left stick, players will need to move their ship to ride these beams of light. The more accurate players ride this light, the better their score and the higher their score multiplier becomes. As the player goes through the level, they will also need to fend off against enemies attacking them. With the right stick, they can take aim and fire. The more enemies the player kills, the better their score. One interesting part of this is that players can do more damage and get a better score if they attack the enemies with the rhythm. Overall, players need to ride the beams of light and attack with the rhythm in order to get their score high enough to complete the level. Players can play through by themselves, or they can play with a friend in multiplayer. Multiplayer allows players to team up in levels or go against each other to see who’s got better rhythm. While the game is still really fun alone, I would say playing along with a friend makes the experience all the more better.
Final thoughts
Overall, I believe the game Aaero 2 is an amazing, well made rhythm game with very fun and unique game mechanics. As I mentioned, I enjoy rhythm games. They are guilty pleasures of mine. This game truly blew my expectations away visually and mechanically, and, of course, this game has a great selection of songs to play through. If you are the kind of player who is looking to get into rhythm games or enjoys rhythm games and is looking for a unique take on one, then I would highly recommend playing Aaero 2. Players can get this game on Steam when it comes out December 13th. They can also try the game’s demo out on Steam for free or get it on Xbox Series X/S.
