Today, Warner Bros. Games revealed that Mortal Kombat 1 will feature new holiday-themed in-game events from December 19–30. All Mortal Kombat 1 owners will have access to five new Towers of Time mode events as free content updates: Bloody Snow (December 19–25), Naughty List (December 21–26), A Christmas Krampus (December 23–30), ‘Twas the Night (December 25–30), and Final Present (December 26–30). When all Christmas events are over, participants will receive new character palettes as part of a variety of festive prizes.
Towers of Time Holiday Events & Rewards in Mortal Kombat 1:
- Bloody Snow Tower (Dec. 19-25) – Yuletide Necromancer & Christmas Evil character palettes for Quan Chi
- Naughty List Tower (Dec. 21-26) – Souls of Winter & Holiday Collection character palettes for Ermac
- A Christmas Krampus Tower (Dec. 23-30) – Holiday Hero & Winter Wonderman character palettes for Takeda
- ‘Twas the Night Tower (Dec. 25-30) – Angel on High & Holidazzle character palettes for Cyrax
- Final Present Tower (Dec. 26-30) – Eat, Drink and Be Lethal & Bah, Humbug character palettes for Sektor
The previously announced Santa’s Helper Reptile, Krampus General Shao, and Mrs. Klause Kitana are also available for purchase, along with new holiday character skins for Frost (Kameo Fighter) and Sareena (Kameo Fighter).
The Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns Kollection, which includes the main game, Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns Expansion, the previous Kombat Pack, and 1,250 Dragon Krystals (in-game currency), is now available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) for new players to join the battle this holiday season.
A new story expansion and Kombat Pack 2, which includes playable characters Cyrax, Sektor, and Noob Saibot (all available now), as well as guest fighters Ghostface (also available now) and a one-week early access to Conan the Barbarian (coming January 21) and T-1000 Terminator (release date to be announced), are available to current Mortal Kombat 1 owners who want to enhance their experience with the game.
