WWE 2K25 for Nintendo Switch 2 and the third of five DLC character packs, the Fearless Pack, were released today by 2K and Visual Concepts. In addition to supporting the whole range of game modes and match types, the WWE 2K25 version for the Nintendo Switch 2 allows players to play both online and offline modes while connected to the internet. The newest DLC Character Pack, The Fearless Pack, will include 64 new maneuvers and animations and includes a variety of WWE Superstars from the past and present, such as New Jack, Jordynne Grace, Penta, Bull Nakano, and celebrity guest the PRIME Bottle (containing global megastar KSI).
A number of new features and enhancements to current fan favorites are included in WWE 2K25:
- 2K Showcase: The Bloodline’s Dynasty – The “Wise Man” Paul Heyman hosts the brand-new 2K Showcase, which honors one of the most recognizable wrestling family dynasties: the Bloodline, as well as the Anoa’i, Fatu, and Maivia families. IGN France described the event as “captivating.” Through famous historical events, players are allowed to relive, alter, and create The Bloodline’s past. Relive significant triumphs such as Rocky Maivia vs. Hunter Hearst Helmsley at RAW in 1997 and Yokozuna vs. Hulk Hogan at King of the Ring ’93. By exacting revenge for significant defeats like Rikishi vs. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin at No Mercy 2000 and the pivotal Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins title bout at Royal Rumble 2022, you can alter history and bring more glory to The Bloodline. - The Island – Four districts based on various WWE themes make up the interactive realm, and according to VICE, “folks will go crazy for the Island.” The Island, which is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, gives users the chance to explore and compete with other players in hopes of impressing “The Original Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns and landing a WWE contract. Through the completion of quests, challenges, live events, unlockables, and the upgrading and customization of MySUPERSTARS through various storyline chapters, The Island enables players to let their hair down and “Rule Beyond the Ring.” View the trailer HERE
- A Roster for the Ages – In addition to Legends and WWE Hall of Famers, WWE 2K25 features an unmatched roster of current Superstars from RAW, SmackDown, and NXT. For example, Cody Rhodes, Liv Morgan, Rey Mysterio, Bret “Hit Man” Hart, Jacob Fatu, Rob Van Dam, Naomi, Ethan Page, Lita, LA Knight, Chyna, Batista, Tiffany Stratton, Becky Lynch, and more are among the more than 300 playable characters on the “absolutely stacked” roster Daily Star. - New Match Types and Improvements on Gameplay – In WWE 2K25, intergender wrestling has arrived! In the majority of game modes, WWE Superstars from the men’s and women’s divisions can now face off against one another to create an endless number of fresh matchups. The new Bloodline Rules Match and Underground Match, the reintroduction of Chain Wrestling, which GamesRadar+ called “a success,” and new barricade diving are added features. - MyGM with Online Multiplayer – Adventuresome general managers can travel with their show and compete against other general managers across the world in the upgraded MyGM, which USA TODAY Sports and Wrestling Junkie referred to as “better than ever.” Players can now lead their brand through multiple-week seasons with a greater selection of General Managers, cross-brand Premium Live Events, and more. They can also draft WWE Superstars and Legends to their weekly show’s roster. Online multiplayer is now available for up to four players.
- MyFACTION – With new features, content, and additional gameplay options, the collectible card-battle mode has returned. Faction Wars now has 50 new stages and new node kinds. Proving Grounds has been replaced with World Tour, which allows players to visit different destinations and play in the order they choose. New community events and more match-type support for live and online matches also improve replayability. With seasonal content refreshes, new challenges, Persona Cards that unlock exclusive Superstars useable in all game modes, and themed card packs will continue to be released on a regular basis throughout the year.
- MyRISE – Players guide their custom Superstar from the women’s or men’s division in a singular, multi-gender MyRISE storyline where Bayley, Kevin Owens, and other Superstars infiltrate NXT in an attempt to take control of the entire WWE. Featuring new personality choices that lead to specific storylines, as well as brawl environments, unlockable arenas, characters, useable objects, and more, plus new ally storylines involving Jey Uso, Bianca Belair, Seth Rollins, and other WWE Superstars. - Universe – The eagerly anticipated return of Promos is one of the new enhancements made to WWE 2K’s sandbox mode to give players more control over their Universe experience! With new sequences and branching options, the updated system offers a variety of promo types and results.
- Creation Suite – According to GameSpot, the WWE 2K franchise’s signature best-in-class, most comprehensive, and powerful creation suite is “in a tier of its own.” As users create their own custom superstars, general managers, referees, arenas, entrances, move sets, championships, audience signs, and more, it continues to be one of the key inspirations for players’ self-expression.
- DLC Season Pass – Five star-studded DLC character packs are planned, with three already available and two more to follow in the coming months. These will be available both individually and through Season Pass, Ringside Pass, and both The Bloodline Edition and Deadman Edition. Basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal is among the many unexpected celebrity guests on the WWE 2K25 DLC roadmap. Other fan favorites include Penta, El Grande Americano, The Motor City Machine Guns, Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, and Jordynne Grace, as well as WWE Legends like Mark Henry, the New Age Outlaws, Jesse Ventura, New Jack, Junkyard Dog, and Tito Santana.
