Cronos: The New Dawn is a unique third-person survival horror game from Bloober Team, the famed developers of the SILENT HILL 2 remake. The game takes place in two timelines: a post-apocalyptic future that is deteriorating in despair and the grim, industrial 1980s reality. It is set in the eerie ruins of New Dawn, a world inspired by Nowa Huta, a real historical district in Kraków, Poland. Enter the Ruins as Early Access Begins
Today, Bloober Team launches early access for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, inviting gamers to immerse themselves in the harsh environment of Cronos: The New Dawn. Enter the hunting suit of The Traveler, a mysterious Collective agent dispatched into areas devastated by the Change, a devastating occurrence that destroyed memory, time, and flesh. All that is left is a haunted, hostile, and unraveling world that is caught between the past and the future. There is no guarantee of survival.
Cross-Platform Digital Release Date: September 5; Physical Versions Will Follow
On September 5 at 7 a.m. PT/10 a.m. ET/4 p.m. CEST, the game will formally premiere digitally on all platforms, including the Nintendo Switch 2 system. 48-hour early access is offered by the Digital Deluxe Edition ($69.99), which is currently available for presale on Steam, the Epic Games Store, the PlayStation 5, and the Xbox Series X|S. This implies that you can begin playing Cronos immediately if you place your Deluxe Edition preorder today, September 3. Everything from the Digital Standard Edition is included, along with the following extras:
- Extra resources: energy packs, shotgun shells, and handgun ammunition
- Three unique skins for travelers
- The official soundtrack and digital artbook
Both the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 physical editions ($59.99), which were created in collaboration with America’s physical distributor Skybound Games, are currently available for pre-order at a few stores, such as GameStop and Amazon. A pair of collectible tangible stickers inspired by Cronos’ eerie environment will be included, along with physical copies of the basic base game, a special Traveler skin, and access to a stockpile of important digital goods. The physical versions of the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 will be available in the Americas on September 19 and October 21, respectively.
Players may also watch exclusive developer streams of the game on Steam as of right now.
