Nintendo Download Update (Oct. 9, 2025)

The following content is available for Nintendo Download this week:

  • Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2:
    • Little Nightmares III – Play as two childhood pals who are adrift in a terrifying world. This evocative platformer for single and cooperative players takes place in a nightmare world where Low and Alone are stuck in the Spiral and must find a way out. As you sprint along the rain-soaked promenade of a dirty funfair, you may have to dodge heavy feet, fight off swarms of hungry Candy Weevils, or play a horrifying game of hide-and-seek with Monster Baby. To stay alive, you’ll need to be prepared to flee, hide, or even defend yourself at any time. Will you be able to get out of this never-ending nightmare?  On October 10, Little Nightmares III will be available on both the Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch platforms.
    • Yooka-Replaylee – Yooka-Replaylee, the definitive remastered and improved edition of the 3D independent platforming collect-a-thon, Yooka-Laylee, offers both new remixed challenges and classic favorites. Discover the vast, stunning open worlds as the endearing friend pair Yooka and Laylee again, complete with a brand-new map, gleaming new cash, and a ton of personalization choices. Never have these friends looked, sounded, or moved more! You may now play Yooka-Replaylee on your Nintendo Switch 2.
  • Super Nintendo Entertainment System – Nintendo Classics:
    • Mario & Wario – This game, which was previously exclusive to Japan for the Super Famicom system, is full of action puzzles. Mario can no longer see after Wario placed a bucket on his head! Using the forest fairy’s magic wand to make platforms, alter Mario’s path, and vanquish foes, it is your responsibility to guide Mario safely to Luigi. To play the game on the Nintendo Switch, you can attach a compatible USB mouse (available separately), or if you’re playing on the Nintendo Switch 2, you can use the Joy-Con 2 controller as a mouse. Using straightforward controls—just use the mouse to move the fairy and click the left button once to conduct actions—you may navigate through 100 stages full of varied difficulties! Mario & Wario is now available for Nintendo Switch Online members.
    • BUBSY in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind – In pursuit of his stolen yarn, Bubsy the bobcat is on the prowl! In this 1993 action game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, you take control of the furry cat himself. When a race of yarn-obsessed aliens known as the Woolies steal Bubsy’s valuable yarn, his epic journey officially begins. Gallivant is spread over 16 stages, each featuring an average of 300 screens, crazy adversaries, and bizarre gameplay. Look for yarn balls strewn throughout these enormous stages as you race through every nook and crevice on your way to the goal. Nintendo Switch Online users can now play BUBSY in Claws: Encounters of the Furred Kind.
    • FATAL FURY SPECIAL – Put fifteen fighters up against one another! The original eight characters from FATAL FURY 2 are included in this fighting game, which was released for the Super NES system in 1995. Three more characters—Billy Kane, Axel Hawk, and Laurence Blood—as well as an extra boss—Wolfgang Krauser—are also included. Additionally, Tung Fu Rue, Duck King, and Geese Howard—three characters from the first Fatal Fury—have joined the battle again. This game is well deserving of the moniker “SPECIAL” since it enhances the formula of the series while also building on the attractiveness of the previous game with its two-line bouts, special attacks, and strong finishers. Additionally, Ryo Sakazaki from the ART OF FIGHTING series will make a special guest appearance if you can fulfill certain particular requirements, which is remarkable in and of itself! Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can now access the FATAL FURY SPECIAL.

Pre-orders:

  • Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment – Experience the canonized tale of Demon King Ganondorf’s invasion by venturing onto the battlefield and facing out against swarms of adversaries throughout Ancient Hyrule. Along the way, you’ll encounter more both familiar and new characters in addition to fighting alongside heroes like Princess Zelda, Mineru, and King Rauru! In the story, you’ll cross paths with the Sages of legend, including: Agraston, the worldly chief of the Gorons, Qia, the courageous Zora queen, and Raphica, a quick-witted leader of the Rito. Characters like Lenalia, Princess Zelda’s lady-in-waiting and one of Rauru’s most dependable attendants, and Ardi, a kind leader obligated by Gerudo law to serve Ganondorf, will also be introduced to you. The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment will be available on November 6. You can pre-order it on the Nintendo eShop right now.
