Austin, Texas (March 8, 2016) – Today Operation Supply Drop announced that it is teaming up with Logitech, who will support Operation Supply Drop with monthly Logitech G gear donations throughout 2016, benefiting veterans and active duty military.
Charity Operation Supply Drop (OSD) – the world’s most generationally relevant support organization for veterans and active duty military – has secured a year-long commitment from Logitech for monthly donations of high-quality gaming accessories to support OSD’s active duty and veteran support programs. Logitech will continue to bolster OSD’s Supply Drops – video game themed care packages that are delivered to deployed active duty troops and wounded veterans recovering from service-related injuries – with various gaming and PC accessories. These including the Logitech G633 Artemis Spectrum headset, Logitech G910 Orion Spark RGB mechanical keyboard, Logitech G700S wireless mouse and the HD Pro Webcam C920. Last July Logitech contributed to a Supply Drop benefitting the U.S. Navy helicopter support group HSM-72 Proud Warriors, and additionally supplied U.S., Canadian and UK troops, including troops at six stateside bases and four downrange units.
“It’s just an awesome feeling to be able to provide some joy and stress relief to our brave women and men in uniform,” said Ujesh Desai, vice president and general manager of gaming at Logitech. “OSD has made a lot of our service people happy with their Supply Drops over the years and Logitech G is honored to be a part of this great cause.”
“The joy our Supply Drop beneficiaries feel when they receive this amazing Logitech gaming gear is palpable,” said Ray Whitaker, COO of Operation Supply Drop. “With Logitech’s increased generosity, we expect to see their high-quality gear on dozens of US, NATO and ANZAC bases, and we’re grateful that Logitech chose to become an even more significant contributor, benefitting the tens of thousands of troops we’ll support in 2016.”
