What would some of our cities look like two years after the “Aug Incident”?
MONTRÉAL, CANADA – August 2, 2016 – Today, Square Enix and Eidos-Montréal revealed how they imagined some of the major cities around the globe looking in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’sinterpretation of the year 2029. In addition to Prague, one of the locations in the game, the Eidos-Montréal team of artists shared their vision of what Barcelona, Berlin, Blackpool, Cologne, London, Moscow, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Stockholm and Sydney would look like 2 years after the “Aug Incident”, the event within the previous entry in the series, Deus Ex: Human Revolution.In 2027, mechanically-augmented people all over the world suffered from extreme psychotic delusions, lost control of themselves, and started attacking others. Millions died. Hundreds of thousands more were injured and maimed. Two years later, in 2029, society is still reeling from the tragedy referred to by many as the “Aug Incident”. In the wake of this global catastrophe, society has become divided by hatred, prejudice, and fear, with many countries now enacting harsh laws leading to a humanitarian crisis that’s spinning violently out of control.

This is a glimpse into the world of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided which will launch on August 23rd for PlayStation 4, Xbox One all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and Windows PC.
