Welcome back, gamers! This past week was no exception to featuring some incredibly tight matches, but for this article, we wanted to shine a spotlight on the top players on the North American Leaderboard. The Leaderboard is divided into three categories: DPS, Tank, and Support players. These rankings are based on performances from the past three weeks, and they can of course change in the future, but this is what we have so far!
In terms of top DPS players, we have King_freedom (Team Imperia) as number three, Jrtico (Team Fissure) as number two, and Supremeaaronz (Team Dayless) as number one. King_freedom is very flexible and know for shutting down Pharah, a dominant hero; he is also one of the best McCree players. Jrtico, meanwhile is also very flexible and good at McCree, but he is one of the best Tracers. Usually Tracers stay on the sidelines of the match, but Jrtico always manages to position himself well and progress forward. Supremeaaronz is not only flexible, he can play pretty much any role or character and excel at it.
Moving onto top Tank players, we have Joseptm11 (Team Fissure) as number three, Raticus_rex (Team Omen Crusaders) as number two, and Manbearpig (Team E.D.G.E.) as number one. To begin, Joseptm11 has a great ability to flex onto the off-tanks when needed, and he plays a top-tier D.Va and Zarya. Raticus_rex is a gifted playmaker as Reinhardt, capable of leading comebacks that allow his team to fight their way back to victory. And coming in number one, Manbearpig is possesses mechanical skill and coordinated Winston dives that set him apart. He also has laser focus on the enemy supports and can be very disruptive at key moments in the game.
Finally, our top three Support players are Comhunter (Team E.D.G.E) coming in third, Glassfalcon (Team Space Esports) in second, and Xzibit (Team Fissure) in first. Comhunter is a great Mercy player, evasive and and consistently able to survive in even the toughest of circumstances. Furthermore, Glassfalcon is the best offensive Zenyatta with his skill of picking key engagement times and dueling one-on-one with DPS characters. Finally, Xzibit is similar to Glassfalcon, but he is the best defensive Zenyatta. He has impecable timing with Zen’s ultimate and can definitely save his team from defeat.
What do you think of the players that were picked? Be sure to tune in for next week’s article, as we will be analyzing the EU leaderboard! Also, don’t forget to catch us live this upcoming Sunday! https://www.twitch.tv/amateurgamer3

From the moment I first played Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy on the original Xbox, I have always had an avid curiosity and enthusiasm for video games. I admire their ability to immerse us in completely different worlds, and I am always eager to see how they integrate the newest breakthroughs in digital technology to make virtual reality feel real. I am currently a senior at UC Berkeley, but when I'm not studying I always make time to play Xbox One with my younger brother.
