BLACK DESERT ONLINE Revamps Savage Rift Horde Mode

BLACK DESERT ONLINE Revamps Savage Rift Horde Mode

Amsterdam, The Netherlands – Pearl Abyss and Kakao Games are thrilled to announce that after this week’s maintenance cycle, Black Desert Online players can look forward to a reworked Savage Rift horde mode that promises to spice up the exciting co-op experience in the game.

The most noteworthy change to the Savage Rift content is that the number of monster spawns has been reduced by around 40% which as a result makes each runthrough last about 20 minutes. Cooldown times for siege weapons such as the Hwacha amd Lynch Cannon have been reduced by 50% so that adventurers can shoot these powerful weapons more often. As a result, the reward structure has been reworked as well. Although the rewards per playthrough have been reduced, the rewards vs playing time have actually increased, making it more interesting for adventurers to engage enemies in the Savage Rift.

To celebrate, a special event will take place between August 15-29, that can reward players very nice in-game rewards. During the event period, a hidden 26th stage can follow after a successfully cleared 25th wave. The chance of this happening is 50% and in this stage a new boss, named the Savage Ogre will appear that drops a Savage Rift reward Box upon defeat. This box will include a Soiled Ogre Ring, Trace of Savagery and more.

Black Spirit’s Training
One of the unique elements in Black Desert Online is that adventurers can still feel connected to the world when they are not actively engaging with the game. AFK fishing was introduced to allow players to catch fish and valuable items while they were at work or sleeping. The excitement for the player was to find out what was achieved during their absence when actively playing again.

This system has now expanded with the Black Spirit’s Training, a mode that allows players to gain combat and skill experience by engaging in AFK activities. To activate the Black Spirit’s Training, players will need to acquire a Book of Training from NPC Jamey Drucker who resides in Velia, Heidel, Calpheon City, Altinova and Valencia City. Upon activating the Book of Training players can practice against one of the scarecrows in each town to start gaining experience. Players who are looking for additional combat EXP will be pleased to know that the earned combat EXP can be stacked with other buffs such as Fever Time and event EXP buffs, Pet skills, Book of Combat, Golden Bells, Olvia Server buffs, and Elixirs making AFK leveling much more efficient.
