Gameforge released update 2.0 for AION Classic. This hefty expansion brings a raft of optimizations bundled together with a massive content drop featuring tons of new areas and instances for PvE and PvP adventurers alike. The update, which is available for free to all players, also ups the ante with a new level cap of 55.
AION is a hugely popular MMO that has influenced an entire generation of gamers since its original release in 2008. AION Classic is its successful renaissance, giving players young and old the opportunity to (re)discover the legendary early version of the game. At the same time, AION Classic does more than just hark back to a simpler age but introduces its own unique version, which is under separate development.
Here’s a quick overview of the new instances in update 2.0:
New PvE Instances
The new PvE instances are designed for players from level 51 and, with the exception of Taloc’s Hollow, should be entered in groups of 2 to 6 players.
- Beshmundir Temple
- Udas Temple
- Lower Udas Temple
- Esoterrace
- Taloc’s Hollow
- Upper Abyss instances
The PvP instances can be played once per day. Some are for individual duels, others are laid out for 6v6 engagements for characters from level 51.
- Chantra Dredgion
- Tiarkh Testing Lab
- Empyrean Crucible

AION Classic gives all players the chance to return to Atreia and relive the beginnings of this world-renowned MMO. The servers of AION Classic are open permanently, and the game is being continuously improved by NCSoft.
Thanks to the versatile character creation options, together with the range of playable classes and specializations, MMORPG fans can forge their AION Classic experience to suit their tastes. Players can choose from the four original classes (Warrior, Scout, Mage, and Priest) and their eight specializations (Gladiator, Templar, Ranger, Assassin, Spiritmaster, Sorcerer, Cleric, and Chanter), developing their heroes along a unique path.
AION Classic unites all European players on one international server, playable in English, French and German. In addition to these playable languages, Gameforge also offers support in Italian, Spanish, and Polish, as with the AION Live version. Players can also take part in numerous seasonal in-game events and enjoy activities only available in AION Classic. Altogether an amazing opportunity for all fans to celebrate the AION experience together.
