Developed by solo developer Hytacka and published by Kodansha Game Creators’ Lab, Rise of Rebellion is a 3D action role-playing game that combines Earth magic and swordsmanship. It launches on PC today via Steam, where it will be discounted by 20% until Sunday, April 27.
The formerly tranquil hamlet of Tella has been overrun by invaders, and the fiercely talented Tel warriors—who have a unique bond with the Earth—must battle back to retake their territory. To ward off the unwanted mercenaries, pick up the sword and pay attention to the weather.

Learn how to wield the blade in intense melee combat. Use light-heavy combo chains to unleash a variety of quick and strong attacks, and enhance each one with special arts to fend off opponent advances and replenish health. Use movement and attack mixups to overwhelm opponents, such as leaping strikes or gap-closing swipes, and ambush unwary foes to deliver a lethal blow.
To keep your stamina, pay attention to every move and limit your offensive assault. To catch an opponent off guard, dodge in all directions or parry when the opportunity arises. When their stamina is low, use Arts to smite stunned enemies with Wrath of Earth, dealing more damage.
Every boss is stronger than the last, and there are new foes across the island. As you defeat axe-wielding brutes, towering trolls, and spear-wielding fighters, you can acquire new skills from the skill tree. Uncover a tale of Tella’s death to uncover a hopeful future by delving deeply into Rise of Rebellion’s lore through journals and relics left by the town’s residents.
Hytacka, creator of Rise of Rebellion stated, “Rise of Rebellion features intense combat where every button press yields consequences. The Button-mashing gameplay can yield disastrous results if not careful. Our community provided so much helpful feedback when the demo launched, and we have taken their input into the 1.0 build we’re sharing today.”
