ALBION ONLINE Merlyn Update Now Live

Berlin – Sandbox Interactive, developers of the Sandbox MMORPG, Albion Online, have have released their fourth major post-launch update, Merlyn, today. In this new update, players will find a plethora of new features, like Faction Warfare, new open-world PvP opportunities, new and unique rewards for faction-based activities, refining and crafting bonuses, a redistribution of resources, a vastly improved user interface for the Marketplace, a new dungeon, and numerous additional improvements. On top of that, a 25% Fame boost applies to all activities until Monday, August 6th.

An Overview of the Important Features of the Merlyn Update:

• Faction Warfare – Faction Warfare lets players sign up with one of five factions centered around the five cities on the Royal Continent. Once signed up with a faction, they can participate in open-world warfare and earn faction points that can be spent in exclusive stores.
• Outposts and Trading – Capturable faction outposts exist throughout the Royal Continent, which offer Fame and Silver – but taking them down means defeating unique bosses, which have their own special powers and personalities. Players can also run trade caravans through hostile enemy territory to gain faction resources. An introductory trailer for the new faction bosses can be found here.
• Faction Rewards – Faction resources can be used as substitute materials in crafting recipes, or used to create all-new capes with powerful passive skills. Each city also has its own unique faction mount with special attributes that can likewise be bought with faction points.
• Gathering, Refining, and Crafting Updates – Resource distribution has been updated to encourage travel and transport throughout the Royal Continent, and each city on the Royal Continent now has its own unique refining and crafting bonuses.
• Marketplace UI Improvements – The Marketplace UI has been completely overhauled to offer a much cleaner and more streamlined experience, and players can now view a clearer average price display and an in-depth sales history.
• Additional Improvements – Merlyn also brings a new dungeon, new costumes and trophies, updated weapon skills, and more.
