Amsterdam, The Netherlands – Today Black Desert Online players celebrate the launch of Archer, the highly anticipated 17th class that has arrived in the popular open world MMORPG. After last week’s pre-creation event it is now time to unleash Archer’s full powers such as his ranged abilities in PvP.
To aid in the celebrations, Pearl Abyss and Kakao Games will start a host of related activities today to welcome Archer to Black Desert Online and to reward players for participating.
Archer’s Seals Event
Adventurers are invited to collect Archer’s Seals by killing enemies or by engaging in gathering or fishing activities. The seals can be turned in at certain NPCs in exchange for valuable items such as Black Stone (Armor), Black Stone (Weapon), Hard Black Crystal Shard and Sharp Black Crystal Shard.
Furthermore, courtesy of Alienware, two lucky players (one in EU and one in NA) who manage to collect the most Archer’s Seals during the event period will win a brand new Alienware 15 gaming laptop. This portable beast features an 8th generation Intel® Core™ i7-8750H, 16 GB, DDR4, 2400Mhz; up to 32GB and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 with 6GB GDDR5. This special competition will start after today’s maintenance and will last up until the 9th of January before that day’s maintenance.
Archer 1+1 Dual EXP Share Event plus level-up rewards
During a special event period, it will become possible to link your EXP gains with another class (under level 60). The linked character will obtain the same amount of EXP as Archer, basically allowing players to level two classes at once. In addition, when leveling up the Archer, adventurer’s can look forward to additional in-game rewards such as Valks’ Cry, Lauren Family Gift Box x2, Gold Bars and much more.

3-day archer themed stream
Partnered content creators including Macilus, AionJanis, Vert, DJules, GoodvibesGuy and Morolan will stream Archer content starting today and will delve deep into the character’s lore, skillset and PvP combat potential. About the Archer Class
The Archer uses his Crossbow for his stylish ranged attack and skill combos. In addition, the Archer has an assortment of magic skills at his disposal that assists him in combat by upsetting the opponents’ balance and wreak havoc by unleashing a flurry of arrows with his Crossbow from afar.
He is never flustered nor disoriented even in the thick of the battle. The Archer can easily escape without breaking a sweat even when he is outnumbered by countless foes. This brand new male class is set to receive a rich storyline in which its background will be fully explored when he gets added to the current roster of available characters.
