Bourne Identity’s Doug Liman to Direct Splinter Cell Movie

Doug Liman, the director of Bourne Identity, is in final negotiations with New Regency to direct the Splinter Cell movie, which is based on the Ubisoft video game.

Basil Iwanyk of Thunder Road Pictures and Jean-Julien Baronnet of Ubisoft Motion Picture Group are producing.  Liman will also produce along with his partner,David Bartis.

Tom Hardy will star in the Splinter Cell movie, which is set to start production in August of this year and release sometime in 2015.
