Cook-Out: A Sandwich Tale VR Game Releases New Video and Tasty Details

Cooperative kitchen craziness to bring madcap party fun to Oculus Quest and Rift platforms later this year

STOCKHOLM – May 14, 2020 – Resolution Games, creators of the chart-topping virtual reality experiences Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs, Bait!, and Acron: Attack of the Squirrels!, have today served up the first trailer (seen above) for their upcoming cooperative culinary VR game, Cook-Out: A Sandwich Tale. It has also been revealed the game will launch later this year on Oculus Quest and Rift platforms, with additional platforms to come. Set within the cook’s cabin of a fairytale forest, Cook-Out challenges up to four players to communicate and collaborate as they keep the orders coming for a hungry cast of enchanted creatures.

“Kitchen games have always been something of a pressure cooker,” admits Gustav Stenmark, the game’s producer, “but with Cook-Out, we’re really trying to turn up the heat. Not only will you be preparing meals, but you’ll need to fight off a number of nasty customers who seem absolutely set on making trouble — like jesters who will hide parts of your orders, or thieves who will keep pilfering your ingredients. We’ve designed Cook-Out to be played with a team — and believe me, you’re going to need all the help you can get in this kitchen!”

While the game is focused on cooperative play, solo players will be able to enjoy the experience with the help of a simulated partner, making sure there’s always a team to tackle tough orders and restore the calm to this wild kitchen.
