Learn new trades, learn new recipes, and help rebuild the Allcraft workshop that was left in a pile of rubble by the previous deceitful owner. Master three crafts: alchemy, cooking, and blacksmithing, level up and purchase new permits to rebuild the workshop that the town relies on. Set in the clouds, the exciting business adventure of Craftlands Workshoppe, developed by Arvydas Žemaitis, Strange Fire Studios, and published by Excalibur Publishing. Craftlands Workshoppe allows you to experiment with several different trades, with the hope and end goal of becoming a master of all trades.
The game-play and aesthetics of this game are almost a refined version of Minecraft, that is also more interactive. The characters even make weird, incomprehensible noises when they talk, but don’t worry, they have subtitles too. This game asks you to complete tasks that help you build your repertoire, hone trade skills, and all while trying to solve the mysterious disappearance of the former owner, Allcraft, who, like his name implies, had mastered all of the crafts in the Workshoppe, essentially making him unstoppable. At the introduction of Craftlands Workshoppe, all of the leaders of this village are gathered around in a circle, and then Allcraft mysteriously disappears into a portal without a trace. That is, except for the less-than-appealing handwritten letter that was left behind for the new owner (you) and addressed to you.
There is also another letter left in the mailbox telling you that the workshop has been closed and that all of the previous permits will need to be repurchased. None of the shops that you need to purchase the ingredients to craft the items in your recipes are labeled, but I think that’s part of the fun in finding your way around the game. There are certainly many elements to explore! Keep an eye on the time throughout each day your character is playing in the game, however. Your character doesn’t automatically get rest, you have to put them to bed. I’m not sure if anything happens if you keep them up for too long, but there were constant thought bubbles popping up to remind me that they were tired and needed sleep. The customers come bright and early every morning at 8 am and your character wakes up at 7 am every morning. Best not to greet the customers with no sleep!
You can open and close your workshop whenever you want and turn away customers when you don’t have a product they’re asking for, or when you’ve ran out. If you run out of ingredients early enough in the day though, you can go get more and reopen your workshop. This is a great game that will certainly keep you entertained and with plenty to do the entire time! I enjoyed this experience and couldn’t stop playing. Completing task after task and becoming a master in each recipe and trade was exciting, and you should definitely check out Craftlands Workshoppe, it’s worth the play!

I am an army veteran and currently a sophomore at Portland State University majoring in English. I have always looked to gaming as an outlet outside of my everyday life and a way to experiment with playing different types of games and take on new and exciting characters with different backgrounds. It's kind of like getting to become a new person every time you play a game.
