With a complete demo via Steam Early Access now available and lots of cooperative horrors, Write Warz, a party game where players collaborate to create absurd, serious, or really scary stories, is celebrating Halloween!

You work together create amusing, outrageous, or strategic stories across multiple rounds in Write Warz. Take turns contributing phrases to a common story, then cast anonymous votes for the best entries. Because the game blends strategy, competitiveness, and creativity, each session is different. Write Warz is made for storytellers, party game fans, and casual players alike. It combines creative writing mechanics with character-specific skills.
Richard Boltz CEO, Boltz Entertainment, stated, “Write Warz was inspired by a storytelling tradition that began on a Navy aircraft carrier in the 1970s, bringing that same sense of shared creativity to the digital age. The sailors at the end of each shift would add sentences to a story in a journal. By the end of the week, the crew would gather to hear the completed story, full of unexpected twists and turns. Now, Write Warz captures that magic in a competitive, fun, and fast-paced game where everyone’s creativity shapes the outcome.”
Write Warz’s fully functional, co-op demo is currently accessible on Steam Early Access. Every season, a new Storytelling Theme is added to the game, which is free to play. Game will leave Early Access in Q1 2025.
