Jürgen Reusswig, Studio Director at Claymore Game Studios said, “Mission accomplished. With the release of Commandos: Origins, we’re taking players back to where it all began, and let them experience firsthand how this special unit was formed and grew into the band of brothers we remember from the old games. Working on this legendary franchise has been a journey of passion, and now, we’re very excited to let fans step into the boots of the six original Commandos. The adventure starts here, and we’re eager for players to relive the origins of this legendary unit while further improving the game with the feedback of the community.”
The tradition of the renowned real-time stealth tactics series is carried on in Commandos: Origins. Put yourself in the shoes of the original Commandos squad, a unit of exceptionally talented warriors who were honed in the furnace of combat during World War II. The highest military leaders entrust Thomas “the Sapper” Hancock with putting together the Commandos, a group of courageous men.
The game explores their early encounters in 14 missions, emphasizing the difficulties they encountered and the camaraderie they developed as a top combat unit. Players lead the Commandos through dangerous missions using tactical gameplay and strategic choices, each of which lays the groundwork for what would grow to be one of the most recognizable military forces in history. Get ready for an in-depth exploration of the beginnings of a renowned team.
