Wow, this game was SPECTACULAR. It was probably my personal favorite, because the world that this game creates is completely immersive. Lara is still dodging booby traps, exploring creepy crypts, and escaping deadly tombs, but in Shadow of the Tomb Raider she also discovers a completely undiscovered human civilization. This gives her a brand new type of world to explore, as well as side missions to play and mysteries to unravel. I also like how the game mixes just the right amount of guidance and independent problem solving, so someone who has never played the previous Lara Crift games (like myself) can learn in no time. A lot of the time, you are forced to act very quickly and therefore rely on your instincts, which adds another layer of realism and excitement. When killing enemies, for example, you have to quickly scan the area, determine which enemies are isolated and easily killed, then strike swiftly but stealthily. Finally, the audio, layout, and design are exquisitely detailed and clearly the result of painstaking time and effort. I wholeheartedly applaud this game!
Created by a team of veteran TOMB RAIDER developers at Eidos-Montréal, in collaboration with Crystal Dynamics, the game will be available on September 14, 2018 for the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X, PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, and Windows PC/Steam.

From the moment I first played Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy on the original Xbox, I have always had an avid curiosity and enthusiasm for video games. I admire their ability to immerse us in completely different worlds, and I am always eager to see how they integrate the newest breakthroughs in digital technology to make virtual reality feel real. I am currently a senior at UC Berkeley, but when I'm not studying I always make time to play Xbox One with my younger brother.
