The second installment of Sonic Team’s prologue animation for SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS: Dark Beginnings is available now. It follows Shadow the Hedgehog as he delves into his terrible history in order to face the causes of his unsettling nightmares of battle and loss. In Episode 2, Shadow’s pursuit of answers lands him in hot water with both Dr. Eggman and his allies, leading him to wonder if the dangers involved in pursuing closure are worthwhile. SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS: Dark Beginnings will broadcast its third and last episode on October 10, 2024.
On October 25, 2024, SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS will be made available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, the Nintendo Switch family of consoles, and PC for $49.99 USD. The game will also be available digitally. A legacy skin for Modern Sonic based on his appearance from Sonic Adventure is available to pre-order right now! The Digital Deluxe Edition comes with extra material and allows players to start playing the game three days early. Gerald Robotnik’s 28-page notebook, which details his experiences building Shadow and the Ark Space Station, will also be sent to players who pre-order the Physical Day One Edition.
