In addition to the latest games, gaming fans from all over the world can once again look forward to a diverse event programme at gamescom this year (open to the public from August 22 to 25). One of the hot spots in 2018 will be the official gamescom stage, which will be hosted together with partner Red Bull for the first time. The Red Bull Gaming Club powered by gamescom awaits visitors in the outdoor area on P8 (behind Hall 8). Many of the program highlights of the Red Bull Stage powered by gamescom will also be streamed live on www.gamescom.global.
The programme at the Red Bull Gaming Club powered by gamescom will also begin for private visitors at the start of gamescom on Wednesday, August 22nd. A diverse range of events will be featured every day – up to and including Saturday, August 25, 2018, at 5 pm – including on the Red Bull Stage powered by gamescom. One of them is the daily “Wings Talks”, where prominent influencers, eSports professionals, programmers and streamers explain to young viewers how enthusiastic gamers can turn their passion into a career. Let’s Plays will also be part of the programme. On gamescom Friday, Jan Hegenberg as well as other musical acts will be performing live on stage. Under the heading “Beats & Cans”, visitors can also top off each trade fair day with DJs as well as other musical acts from the gaming scene and energizing beverages from Wednesday to Friday between 6 and 8 pm. The crowning finale of the programme on the Red Bull Stage powered by gamescom will be the second part of the gamescom awards 2018 on Saturday, August 25. 2018, at 3 pm. The awards will be presented for games or products that have either first been evaluated by the jury directly at gamescom or selected by the audience. They include the winners in the categories “Best Booth” and gamescom “Most Wanted” Consumer award. Fabian Siegismund and Kimberly “Velafee” Hess will be the moderators on the Red Bull Stage powered by gamescom. In addition to the stage, the Red Bull Gaming Club powered by gamescom includes various play stations, the Red Bull Mind Gamers Challenge and a wide variety of beverages.
