gamescom 2020: astragon Welcomes Game Fans to an Exciting Digital Exhibition

Duesseldorf/Germany – August 12, 2020 – Game fans, developers, and exhibitors alike have been looking forward to one of the highlights in the game industry calendar for months. It is now official that gamescom 2020 will take place in digital form from August 27 – August 30, 2020, offering gameplay live streams, daily shows and online demos to an international gaming audience. The team of German publisher, astragon, will of course also take part and wow visitors with a digital exhibition including interesting live streams and a hands-on demo on gamescom now.

Bus Simulator 21 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One will invite players to North America and onto the streets and highways of a large US metropolis. Here, they will encounter many new license partners like double-decker specialist Alexander Dennis and the future topic of e-mobility in urban transport.   

A different kind of future will await visitors in the space strategy game, Drone Swarm, for PC by developer stillalive studios. Players will take control of the mothership Argo and its 32,000 drones after earth has been destroyed in an alien attack. As humanity’s last hope, they go on a dangerous search for a new home planet and encounter other space faring alien races.   

Drones are also a good keyword for the next game in the astragon portfolio: While players in Liftoff: Drone Racing for PlayStation 4, and Xbox One will only control one quadcopter at a time, this one will fly all the more rapidly! In exciting races, aspiring drone pilots will attempt to climb the ranks from backyard amateur to league pro. Of course, players will be able to configure their drones to suit their individual needs and meet the challenges of their next race head-on.

How about some relaxation on sunny alpine pastures after all of this excitement? In this case, fairgoers should definitely not miss stopping by a true icon of the simulation game genre. Landwirtschafts-Simulator 19 by Swiss developer and publisher GIANTS Software will present its new Alpine Farming Expansion for PC with a new Alpine map as well as vehicles and machines suitable for this special terrain by a diverse range of brand partners such as Aebi, Lindner, Pöttinger, Rigitrac, SIP, and more. 

French publisher Microids will also show some interesting games at gamescom 2020, which will be distributed by astragon Sales & Services in the German language market: The remake of the iconic cel-shading first person shooter XIII (Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One), Asterix and Obelix XXL – Romastered (Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One),  and The Bluecoats – North & South (Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One) will delight gamers of all ages. 

Game fans will of course also be able to experience their favorite games in action. Visitors can take a look into the gameplay of Bus Simulator 21Drone Swarm, Liftoff: Drone Racing, and the Landwirtschafts-Simulator 19 Alpine Farming Expansion via live stream. Here, they will also receive some special insights and explanations directly by the developers of each project. gamescom 2020 would not be a real gamescom without players having the opportunity to test some games themselves!
